Who we are
This website belongs to Destaca, based in Portugal. Contact: contacto@destaca.site.
Privacy policy
We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Portuguese Law no. 58/2019.
Data controller
Destaca. For any question about your data: contacto@destaca.site.
What data we collect
This website has no user accounts. We only receive the data you send us through the quote request form or by email: name, email address, phone number (if you give it), your business name and website, the topics and plan you choose and the description of your request.
The quote request form delivers this data to our inbox through the Web3Forms service. The data is only used to reply to your request and is not used for marketing without your consent.
If you subscribe to our newsletter (on the website form, by ticking the consent box, or by asking us directly), we keep your email address and, if you give it, your name, to send you news, tips and offers from Destaca, and we record the date you subscribed as proof of your consent. Newsletters are sent through the E-goi platform. You can unsubscribe at any time with the «Remover subscrição» (unsubscribe) link at the end of every newsletter, or by writing to us.
The free SEO check only receives the website address you type, to open and analyse it at that moment. We do not keep the result. If you open an analysis link we sent you (with your website address already filled in), we receive an email notice with that address, so we know the analysis was seen; that notice is deleted after 12 months. The hosting provider's technical logs may keep the request for a few days, for security.
Business contacts by email
We sometimes email companies to introduce our services. We only use general company addresses (for example, geral@ or info@) that the companies themselves publish on their website or in public business listings, such as Google Maps. We keep the company name, email address, website and the date of contact.
We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in making our services known to businesses (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and Article 13-A of Portuguese Law no. 41/2004). If you do not want to be contacted again, simply reply «REMOVER» (remove) or write to contacto@destaca.site: we stop contacting you and keep only the address on an exclusion list, to make sure you get no further emails from us. The rest of the data from these contacts is deleted after 12 months if there is no reply.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- Replying to your request and preparing a diagnosis or proposal: steps prior to a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Providing the contracted services and invoicing: performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations (points (b) and (c)).
- Sending the newsletter: your consent (point (a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Business contacts to companies by email: legitimate interest (point (f)), which you can object to at any time.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept while you are subscribed and deleted when you unsubscribe. Requests that do not lead to a contract are deleted after 12 months. Client data is kept during the contract and then for the period required by tax law (10 years for invoicing documents).
Who we share it with
We do not sell data. We use providers that process data on our behalf: website hosting (Vercel Inc.), quote form delivery (Web3Forms), newsletter delivery (E-goi), website statistics, only with your consent (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, Google Ireland Limited) and our email provider (Google Workspace, Google Ireland Limited). When a provider is outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contacto@destaca.site. We reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt), or with the authority in your own country.
Cookie policy
We use Google Analytics statistics cookies, loaded through Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited), to understand how many people visit the site, where they come from and which pages they use. These tools are only turned on if you click «Accept» in the cookie notice. If you decline, or do not choose, they are not loaded.
- _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics): tell visitors and sessions apart, statistically. Duration: up to 2 years.
- destaca-cookies (your browser's local storage): keeps your cookie choice. It is not sent to anyone.
- destaca-consult (your browser's local storage): avoids showing you the consultation invitation again. It is not sent to anyone.
Newsletter
Newsletters are sent through the E-goi platform. Each email has a small invisible image and tracked links, which tell E-goi whether the newsletter was opened and which links you clicked. We only use this information in aggregate, to learn what content is useful and improve future emails. The countdown timer in some newsletters is an image generated by E-goi when you open the email.
If you do not want this tracking, you can set your email program not to load images automatically, or unsubscribe with the «Remover subscrição» link. The copy of the newsletter on our website (destaca.site/newsletter) uses no cookies.
You can change your choice at any time under «Cookie preferences» in the footer of the home page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. The font and all other scripts are served from our own domain.
